Baronet

A guy who has received the knighthood is called a Baronet. When a baronet passes away, his son inherits the title. An inherited title that comes before a peerage is higher than most knighthoods, allowing the holder to use the title 'Sir' or 'Madam' with their Christian name. It can be passed down through the female line, though the eldest son often inherits most baronetcies.
The meaning of Baronet is 'from the land that was burned' or 'burned clearing' coming from Old English origin. Most people with the last name Baronet identify as Christians.
British culture still maintains a sizable class structure based on social position and place of birth. Members of the aristocracy make up the majority of the upper class. Members of the peerage and the royal family are the most senior. Baronets are immediately below them. Unlike certain peers, baronets can't sit in the House of Lords despite having hereditary titles, that is, positions passed down through the family from one generation to the next.
