The meaning of Dumi is 'someone who inspires people' or 'inspires faith'. It is a name with African origin and it is pronounced as 'dou-me'. Dumi is also a language that is spoken by the Kiranti people in the northern Khotang district of Nepal. It is one of the rarest languages in the world, with only eight known speakers.
