Ozymandias

The name Ozymandias is a Greek variant of the name of an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh, Ramesses II. The meaning of Ozymandias is ‘the king of kings’. The name Ozymandias was used by one of the iconic poets of all times, Percy Bysshe Shelley, in one of his excellent sonnets, wherein he wrote about man’s labor and its insignificance in comparison to the vastness of time. This uniquely beautiful name is generally given to baby boys and is extremely popular in Christian households as well as in countries such as Egypt, the United States, and the United Kingdom. However, this name is not quite in use in current times as it can be quite a task for a baby boy to utter five heavy syllables all at once. Hence, several nicknames such as Oz, Mandy, Ozman, and many others are making all the noise. In popular culture, this name was used as the title of the third last episode, which was probably the best episode, of the famous TV series ‘Breaking Bad’.
