Zarya

Zarya is a name of Slavic origin that is mainly given to girls. It is one of the many variants of Zarya, such as Zara, Zaranitsa and Zoryushka. One of the variant Zorya supposedly belonged to a goddess in Slavic mythology who is said to be a feminine personification of dawn. She is frequently portrayed as the Sun's sister, residing in the Palace of the Sun, and she opens the gate for him each morning so he can embark on a journey over the skies. The name also appears in the folklore of many other folklores of European countries. Interestingly, the name has been widely used in science, engineering and entertainment.
